Michigan DNR Asks Anglers to Provide Meals for Hungry Families

I got an email from the Michigan DNR today with this message. . .

Anglers have a long tradition of sharing their bounty with family and friends. You can help provide meals to other hungry families across our state when you purchase your fishing license and make a donation to Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger.

When you purchase your license, tell your dealer that you would like to donate $1, $5, $10, or $20 to the Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger program.

Money that is collected supports the processing costs of venison donations during deer season. Just $1 provides a healthy portion of venison for up to five meals.
